The TotalIRC Network Rules
The following is a list of rules to be observed while chatting on TotalIRC.net.
If you fail to follow any of these policies, you can be denied access to TotalIRC and any other server connected to TotalIRC.net.
TotalIRC has a right to change any of the policies at any time and reserves the right to terminate ANY hostname from accessing its network.
When you enter a channel on TotalIRC, it constitutes your acceptance ofthe terms and conditions listed below.
If you do not agree to abide by our Code of Conduct, please disconnect now.
NOTICE
The terms 'which cause the computer to disconnect or crash. These attacks are illegal under Title 18,
United States Code (maximum fine $4,000 or up to 2 years imprisonment).
Often the victims are people on Internet Relay Chat (IRC), but nuking is not part of IRC,
so you can't get back at these people through IRC, nor can IRCops sanction them.
1. No Harassing users or IRCops.
2. No Child Pornography.
3. No Spoofing, no CTCP/Text Flooding.
4. No Clones. Bots are allowed but they must be friendly.
5. Never ask for IRC operator status.
6. You must obey the rules of any channel.
7. No attacks of any kind, including but not limited to trojan, nuke, icmp, etc. (See NOTICE above for more details.)
8. No advertising illegal services or hardware or any kind. No spamming.
9. No advertising other chat networks.
10. No illegal file distribution channels (known as warez, XDCC, DCC, fserv and FTP)
Disruptive Behavior
TotalIRC does not tolerate disruptive behavior. Users are to respect one another online.
No users shall harass any other user.
Any user believed to be disrupting the network will be banned from TotalIRC.
No user shall cause harm to TotalIRC servers or any user's Connected to TotalIRC.
Harassment
TotalIRC will not tolerate any type of harassment to its users, staff or channels.
If you are found harassing users, staff, or channels, you will be banned from the network.
Logs of harassment may be sent to your ISP (Internet Service Provider)
and/or local and state authorities if harassment is severe.
Flooding
Flooding of any kind is strictly forbidden! That behavior WILL NOT be
tolerated. Anyone caught doing so will be REMOVED with no explanations.
How to Get Help
If you have any problems or questions while chatting at TotalIRC.
You may get help by typing /msg nickserv help and /msg chanserv help
or by joining the help channel, #TotalIRC.
If you feel an IRCop is abusing their power you can report the problem
by contacting us at the Report Abuse page.
If you have been BANNED from our server and wish to come back you
should first contact us at the A-Kill Contact page
and give a detailed explanation on why you think you should be allowed
back on the server.
